Welcome, my name is Dr. Miles Latwat. I graduated from the University of Saskatchewan with a Doctorate in Veterinary Medicine. With a background as a Wildlife Conservation Officer I specialized in the field of wild and exotic animals gaining experience at both the Calgary and Washington D.C. Zoo.

Upon joining the Vernon Veterinary Clinic in 1993, I refocused my skills to include orthopedic, soft tissue and internal medicine.

Since March of 2003 I have been certified in TCM acupuncture. My client base has expanded with notable success due to the addition of this Eastern medicine. Continuing education is key to keeping my skills updated to offer my best medical expertise to our clients.

My success is in large part due to my wife of 25 years, Karen and our two children Evan and Scott. We have been home to bearded dragons, fish, cats, and dogs. Today our family includes Brody (yellow lab), Leo (Boston Terrier/ Pug cross) and Farley (black and white cat) .

When I am not at work I enjoy playing and assist in coaching minor hockey, family alpine skiing, golf, water skiing and fishing.

Our family has also enjoyed billeting Jr. A Vernon Viper Hockey players for the past 7 years.
