Dr. Phil Carbert
Hello, my name is Dr. Phil Carbert. I was born and raised in Vancouver. After extensive travel for my education over the last several years I could not be happier to be back in beautiful British Columbia. I received my undergraduate degree in Biology from Queen’s University in Kingston ON, after which I returned to Vancouver. After working for several years at a Biotechnology company, I decided to quit my job and pursue my childhood dream of becoming a Veterinarian. Upon graduation from the College of Veterinary Medicine at Western University of Health Sciences in southern California I was eager to move back to BC to begin work. I had always loved the Okanagan, from childhood summers at Shuswap lake and winters snowboarding on Silver Star mountain, so I jumped on the opportunity to work with the great staff at Vernon Veterinary Clinic. My special interests include Behavior, Diagnostic Imaging, Internal Medicine and Surgery. When I’m not at work I enjoy camping, fishing, hiking and anything that gets me into the beautiful outdoors with my family (my partner Ali, our four young children, plus our two cats and two dogs).
